As part of my "small purchase" at fit-rx.com, I got to sample a couple of items for free, including the Dymatize elite gourmet peanut butter. WOW! This bar was awesome! One 85 gram bar has 390 calories, 19 grams fat, 0 grams trans fats, 18 grams carbs, 5 grams sugar and 30 WHOPPING grams of protein.

INGREDIENTS: Elite Protein Blend (Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Milk Protein Isolate, Soy Protein Isolate) Sugar Free Marshmallow Layer (Lycasin Syrup, Water, Powdered Sugar, Maltodextrin, Coconut Oil, Egg Whites, Invertase, Soy Protein Crisps [Isolated Soy Protein, Cocoa Powder, Tapioca Starch], Lecithin (an emulsifier) Vanilla, Flavor), Yogurt Coating (Sugar, Palm Kernel Oil, Whey Protein Concentrate, Yogurt Powder, Soy Lecithin [an emulsifier], Vanillin), Chocolate Coating (Whey Protein Concentrate, Palm Kernel Oil, Maltitol, Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Soy Lecithin [an emulsifier], Vanillin), Collagen Peptides, Glycerine, Water, Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa Powder, Lecithin (an emulsifer), Natural and Artificial Flavors, Salt. This bar tasted like candy! I highly recommend you try it out... especially chocolate peanut butter.

The Protein Bakery

Thanks to The Protein Bakery for sending me samples of their high protein desserts to sample. They have a huge selection to choose from, including fredh baked and colossal cookies, brownies, and blondies. They are packed with whey protein. In addition, they are wheat free and high in fiber (this is because they use rolled oats and grind them into a flour, rather than using plain flour). They are also vegetarian friendly as well.

These are a great alternative to regular snacks. Although I would still consider them a "cheat," I LOVE the added protein and they taste great! Definitely check them out!

Ingredient list:
* organic dates
* organic cacao
* organic coconut oil
* himalayan pink salt
* organic shredded coconut

Thanks to Jeff from Nutri Bread for sending me their high protein ("P28") bread to sample. As it's name implies, this is a high protein bread. This bread is DELICIOUS! Bex Runner

Thanks to Bex runner for sending me one of their innovative hand held cooling devices to use while exercising. Basically, it's an adjustable strap that fits around your hand with a small cooling pouch attached that rests comfortably in your palm. I put mine in the freezer the night before and used it the next morning (although it probably takes only a few hours). Basically, the gel freezes in the pouch and rests against your palm and acts as a cooling mechanism for your body. The gel stays cool up to 1 hour in use and the device is reusable for a year.

How does Bex runner work? According to this website, "The BEX Runner focuses on the unique radiator-like qualities of the palm of the hand. The key to this naturally occurring phenomenon is a unique system of blood vessels found beneath the palm surface, called arteriovenous anastomoses (AVAs), which brings heatedblood to the skin surface and returns cooled blood back to your body’s core. BEX Runner maximizes this phenomenon by keeping your body’s natural radiator (the palms) cool."

I wore this while I ran up and down the stairs this morning. I have taken a hiatus from running outside for a while, but this worked PERFECT when I was running up and down the stairs (working my buns!) Kept me cool in my hot stairwell (I live in a 7 story apartment complex).

I recommend you try this very awesome product! They sell for $49.99 on their website here

Trim Treads

Thanks to Trim Treads for sending me one of their fitness shoes to sample. These shoes are great! It feels like I am walking in high heels when I wear them, but they are so much more comfortable. I also like them because they make me feel taller :) These add a good inch to two inches to my size... seeing that I am only 5'1, this is a confidence booster.

These shoes were a hit at work, too! One of my co-workers practiced walking in them and she said "I need to get myself a pair of these."

From their website:
Wear your trim treads for 30 minutes a day for:
* lifted buns
* toned legs
* a stronger core
* better circulation
* perfect posture
* improved balance
* burning calories

Not only do they come in sandals, but they also come in other shoe-types, including boots, clogs, sandals... and they come in many colors, too!! Definitely be sure to check them out!

Myweigh scales

Thanks to Myweigh for sending me their kitchen scale to review. They send me the KD-8000. The KD-8000 weighs up to 8000 grams. I like the fact that it has a removable protective cover. I tend to spill my protein powder all over the place when I weigh mine, so this is great. In addition, it has a bakers math/percentage weighing, so you can weigh ingredients in proportion to the main ingredient. As you can see below, the scale comes with a backlit 5 digit LCD display with large easy to read numbers. It reads in grams, ounces, kilograms, pounds and pounds: ounces.

Ever since getting on my health kick, I use scales to measure my food rather than using measuring cups because it's more accurate. This is a great addition to my kitchen!

In addition to the KD-8000, myweigh offers a number of other pocket/mini scales, medium scales and large scales. Be sure to check them out!
