HAppy Valentine's Day!

So, SURPRISINGLY, I woke up and wasn't sore at all. It's crazy! I thought I would be hardly able to walk after yesterday's 15 mile run. I am not complaining, just very surprised... maybe it will hit me later today. I am tired though since I haven't slept well the past two days... more on that later.

All day yesterday I was on a runner's high! I was in the best mood ever! I just felt so healthy and energized. Haven't felt that way in a while...

So, I woke up yesterday and ate a sandwich and some medora snacks pogos. These are all natural potato sticks. These are sooo yummy! One ounce has 110 calories, 4 grams fat, 18 carbs, 2 grams sugar and 2 grams protein.

I also ate a boring turkey sandwich: Arnolds 100 calorie whole wheat thin and 4 slices turkey. But, I can never eat anything too elaborate before my run. I usually stick with bagels and bananas, but this morning I was craving some turkey.

I then ran 10 miles on the treadmill in the basement. Since I started to get hungry, after 10 miles I stopped and ran up to my apartment and grabbed my beloved clif bar: banana walnut clif bar. These are MY FAVE bars to eat during workout. They are quite dense and are very filling. They also taste like COOKIES, not bars.

I then ran 5 more miles afterwards on the treadmill. These bars hit the spot. I just love, love, love em!

My first post-run meal was scrambled egg whites with peanut butter and raw hemp seed.
- 4 egg whites

I loved the peanut butter and hemp seed combo so much, for my next meal I switched my protein to peanut butter. Peanut Butter and Hemp Seed Chicken!

- 3 ounces chicken

- 1 tablespoon krema products peanut butter

- 1 tablespoon foods alive hemp seed

I tossed it on a massive salad.

For dessert, I had frozen banana slices with cinnamon on top. I am obsessed with frozen bananas. I have turned many of my non-blogging friends into frozen banana eaters.

My next meal was another huge salad with chicken and hemp oil dressing.

- huge salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumbers)
- 3 ounces chicken

wow, like the name implies, the hemp oil was very sweet and tasty. It was so delicious! One tablespoon has 85 calories, 7.5 grams fat, 3 grams sugar. There is 1.5 grams of omega 3 fats, 4.5 grams omega-6 fats and 1 gram omega-9 fats.

For dessert, ANOTHER frozen banana with peanut butter.

- banana

VALENTINE'S DINNER: my sweetheart and I went to PF chang's for dinner. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that place! I felt awkward taking pics at a restaurant and, although my boyfriend is supportive of me and my site, I sometimes feel as though I talk too much about blogging and stuff.. HOWEVER, I found some pics online:

Dinner was:
- Ginger chicken with broccoli
- brown rice

and for dessert: Great wall of Chocolate! (pics from here)

The waiter "high fived" us because he said we were the only couple to finish the great wall of chocolate.

However, as good as the great wall of chocolate is, I bet it DOESN'T COMPARE to AVERIE'S DESSERTS AT WWW.LOVEVEGGIESANDYOGA.COM. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT HER VEGAN FOOD PORN :)
